Cristo es la palabra griega para “Mesías”,[1] que significa “el ungido”. Se refiere a Dios que vino en la carne para la salvación de la humanidad. En la Biblia, que da testimonio del Salvador,[2] se encuentran las profecías sobre Cristo que viene a esta tierra. Según las profecías, Jesús apareció hace dos mil años como el Cristo. A través de su preciosa sangre derramada en la cruz, Jesucristo estableció el nuevo pacto y concedió el perdón de los pecados y la vida eterna a todas las personas. Sin embargo, después de la época apostólica, la verdad del nuevo pacto desapareció a medida que la iglesia atravesó la secularización y la edad oscura. La Biblia profetiza la aparición de Cristo en su segunda venida, quien restaurará el nuevo pacto y abrirá nuevamente el camino a la salvación.
Significado de Cristo
- El ungido
- “Cristo” (Chrīstós, griego: Χριστός) es una palabra que significa “el ungido” y proviene del verbo chríō (χρίω), que significa “untar o frotar con aceite”.[3] Es la misma palabra que Mesías (en hebreo: מָשִׁיחַ, en arameo: מְשִׁיחָא). Ser ungido significa ser apartado como alguien para llevar a cabo la obra especial de Dios. En los tiempos del Antiguo Testamento, mayormente los reyes,[4][5][6] sacerdotes[7][8] y profetas[9] eran ungidos.
- Mesías (Salvador)
- Para los judíos, el título Cristo era considerado como “el que salvará a Israel”, además de su significado aparente, “el ungido”. Se debe a que el Antiguo Testamento profetizó que el ungido (el Mesías) vendría como el Salvador.[10][11] Esta profecía se cumplió a través de Jesús, que vino en la carne. En la actualidad, Cristo es una palabra que se utiliza para Jesús.[12]
Jesucristo
El contexto de su aparición
Israel se ubicaba en un punto estratégico donde se cruzaban muchas civilizaciones y los intereses de los países vecinos entraban en conflicto. Al ser una nación pequeña, sufrió muchas invasiones de otras naciones como Egipto, Asiria y Babilonia (Imperio neobabilónico) durante mucho tiempo.[13] Por eso se le llama “nación afligida”. Alrededor del año 4 a. C., que los historiadores suponen que es el tiempo en que nació Jesús, Israel sufría por los fuertes impuestos, la tiranía y la opresión bajo la autoridad romana.[14] Con una fuerte creencia de que eran el “pueblo escogido” de Dios, los judíos practicaban el mesianismo, que era la creencia de que Jehová Dios les enviaría al Mesías, el Salvador que los salvaría.[15] Israel soñaba con un mesías político fuerte que los sacara de la opresión romana.[16] En esta situación, Jesucristo apareció según las profecías de la Biblia.
El propósito de su venida: la proclamación del nuevo pacto
Cristo, que estaba profetizado en el Antiguo Testamento, no apareció para la liberación física de los judíos, sino para la liberación espiritual y la salvación de toda la humanidad. Los seres humanos son los pecadores espirituales que cometieron pecados en el cielo y vinieron a esta tierra.[17][18][19] Ya que la paga del pecado es muerte,[20] nadie puede librarse del pecado por sí mismo; la salvación se vuelve imposible una vez que uno paga el precio de su pecado mediante la muerte. Por eso, Dios mismo vino en forma humana para pagar los pecados de la humanidad.[21][22]
Según la profecía del trono de David, Jesús predicó el evangelio del reino para la salvación de la humanidad después de bautizarse a la edad de treinta años.[23][24] Él dio ejemplo de guardar las fiestas solemnes de Dios, como el Día de Reposo.[25][26] y les enseñó. Al final de unos tres años de su vida pública, mientras celebraba la última Pascua con sus discípulos, les dio pan y vino, que simbolizaban su cuerpo y su sangre, y proclamó el nuevo pacto.[27] Al día siguiente, Jesús confirmó el nuevo pacto derramando su sangre y muriendo en la cruz.[28] Al mismo tiempo, abrió el camino para el completo perdón de los pecados al sacrificarse como una ofrenda de expiación por la humanidad.[22][29] El nuevo pacto, que se cumplió por la muerte de Jesús, fue la única verdad de salvación dada a la humanidad, que estaba destinada a morir por causa de sus pecados.
Profecías de la Biblia y su cumplimiento
La Biblia es un libro que da testimonio del Salvador,[2] y allí se escribieron las profecías acerca de Cristo que había de venir. Jesucristo vivió según las profecías del Antiguo Testamento, que incluyen su nacimiento, su sufrimiento en la cruz, su resurrección y su ascensión. Las obras de Jesús son prueba de que Jesús es Dios, el verdadero Cristo profetizado en la Biblia.

Sin embargo, los judíos y los líderes religiosos de aquellos días no reconocieron a Jesús como el Cristo. Fue porque la apariencia de Jesús estaba lejos de la imagen del Mesías que habían esperado.[53] Cada aspecto de Jesús, como su apariencia común, ocupación y familia física, se convirtió en la causa de su rechazo. Pero este era el cumplimiento de la profecía de Isaías de que Cristo era como raíz de tierra seca, sin atractivo para que le deseáramos.[54]
Los judíos, que veían a Jesús desde la perspectiva física, intentaron apedrearlo, diciendo: “¿Cómo tú, siendo hombre, te haces Dios?”,[55] y al final crucificaron al Mesías que habían anhelado con ansias.[42] Por el contrario, los que recibieron a Jesús creyeron en Él y lo siguieron por medio de las profecías de la Biblia. El apóstol Juan, que era uno de los doce discípulos de Jesús, escribió en la Biblia que Dios, que existía desde el principio, habitó con nosotros en la carne;[56] y el apóstol Pablo escribió que Jesús es en forma de Dios aunque vino como hombre.[57]
Cristo en su segunda venida
La Biblia profetiza que Cristo vendrá por segunda vez en la carne tal como lo hizo hace dos mil años.
El contexto de su aparición
Después de la ascensión de Jesús, la Iglesia primitiva fue más allá de Israel y predicó el evangelio de Jesucristo en Asia y Europa; sin embargo, a partir del siglo ii, la iglesia comenzó a secularizarse gradualmente y la verdad del nuevo pacto se fue cambiando poco a poco.[58] Al abandonar el Día de Reposo, algunas iglesias comenzaron a guardar el culto en domingo, y el culto dominical se estableció en el año 321 d. C.[59] La Pascua fue abolida en el Concilio de Nicea en el año 325 d. C.[60] El lugar donde desapareció la verdad se llenó de ídolos paganos, como la cruz, y doctrinas que no están basadas en la Biblia, como la Navidad.[61] Durante la edad oscura, la verdad del nuevo pacto, que Jesús enseñó y guardó, desapareció por completo.
En el siglo xvi tuvo lugar la Reforma, y reformadores religiosos como Lutero, Calvino y Zuinglio lograron la libertad de fe contra la corrupción y las doctrinas irracionales de la Iglesia católica romana. Desde entonces, se establecieron muchas iglesias protestantes, pero ninguna pudo restaurar la verdad del nuevo pacto. Aunque el mundo está lleno de numerosas denominaciones, no se puede encontrar la verdad del nuevo pacto que Jesús estableció. Esto es conforme con lo que Jesús profetizó hace dos mil años cuando dijo que no hallaría la fe verdadera cuando volviera.[62]
El propósito de su venida: la recuperación del nuevo pacto
La Biblia dice que aquellos que abandonan los mandamientos de Dios y guardan mandamientos de hombres perderán la sabiduría y la inteligencia, y toda la visión de Dios les será como palabras de libro sellado.[63] Después de la época apostólica, la verdad del nuevo pacto desapareció y los mandamientos de hombres, como el culto dominical y la Navidad, se difundieron en la iglesia. Esto significa que la Biblia, que contiene las revelaciones de Dios, quedó sellada para todas las personas del mundo. La Biblia predijo la obra de Jesús incluso antes de su nacimiento. También profetiza cuándo, dónde, cómo y con qué señales aparecerá Cristo en su segunda venida.

Cristo Ahnsahnghong es Cristo en su segunda venida que restauró la verdad del nuevo pacto para la salvación de la humanidad según las profecías de la Biblia. Cristo Ahnsahnghong cumplió todas las profecías de la Biblia, incluida la del tiempo y el lugar de la segunda venida de Jesús. Según la profecía de la higuera y la profecía del rey David, Él se bautizó a la edad de treinta años en 1948 y comenzó a predicar el evangelio. En 1985, regresó al cielo después de terminar su obra del evangelio de treinta y siete años.
